Food Information Regulations 2014 – Allergen
December 2014 saw the introduction of new food legislation. The regulations place a new requirement on those selling or serving food. The EU law has listed 14 allergens that need to be identified if they are used in ingredients in a dish. The listed allergens are celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, soya, and sulphur dioxide.
To comply with this new legislation, an allergen guide is included in each weekly menu.
