Faith in Action Award
The Faith in Action award encourages children from Year 5 and Year 6 to actively live out their faith through service to others and reflection. The award helps them to connect their faith and life.
In journeying through the award, the children deepen their faith and relationship with God and enjoy exploring this relationship. It is hoped that through deepening their relationship with God, and through their daily actions, people will see God’s love through them.
Nine members of current Year 6 achieved their PIN badge and certificate in July 2023.
Faith
Faith is a gift from God. It is our relationship with God. Through the Faith in Action award, our aim is to enable children to deepen this relationship and have an active faith through service to others and reflection times.
Who is it for?
This award starts in Primary school with a PIN badge in Year 5 and 6. This can then be continued at a further level in high school, where they continue to have an active faith.
Service and Reflection
Children who undertake this award are awarded for their service to others in the local and wider community.
Children in our school have led assemblies, read in many services and they lead children in Collective Worship in many year groups. These children have helped younger children by playing with them at play-times, serving them in the hall at lunch-time and have sat with them in assemblies to keep them focused. These children have also given up their time to raise money for the school and charities by cake sales, selling raffle tickets, leading own clothes days and organising the Christmas Fayre with staff.
