CAFOD
CAFOD are an international development charity and the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales.
At CAFOD, their mission is to work alongside the world’s poorest people. They work without prejudice, they don’t preach, and they pride themselves on their diversity. They believe their Catholic values are best shown through our love for others, and by working for justice and an end to poverty.
CAFOD’s vision, mission and values draw directly from Catholic Social Teaching (CST), Scripture, Liturgy, the Gospel and the tradition of the Church. Catholic Social Teaching is at the heart of what they do and who they are.
At The Trinity Academy, we raise money for this charity throughout the year. We have volunteers in from CAFOD to work with the children so they understand this charity and what Catholic Social Teaching is and our important role in this.
Over the coming month, we are registering to become a LIVE SIMPLY school, which emphasises the mission and helps us to follow Catholic Social Teaching in our school.
